Whiskey Cake is an award winning farm-to-table restaurant, offering signature New American comfort food with a farm-to-fork mission. The approachable menu locally sources as much as possible and will feature innovative appetizers, slow-cooked meats and freshly caught fish, along with the infamous whiskey cake for dessert.

The large central bar pays homage to great whiskeys with an expansive list of variations. A menu of cocktails features creative concoctions of local spirits with fresh ingredients, evocative of beverages served at a pre-prohibition bar experience.

The contemporary design of reclaimed architectural elements creates an environment that is comfortable and inviting, an ideal spot for dinner after a long workday or a lazy brunch on the weekends.

    We were seated on time however it took a while (over 20 minutes) for server to greet us and take our order; the food was delicious however fried green tomatoes were cut too thick so they were a little hard and the mimosas were wonderful.

    Vibe was great, bourbon selection was amazing, food was fantastic (save room for the whiskey cake dessert), waiter was knowledgeable and friendly, even had the manager come to our table to check on our evening. Will be frequently visiting again and again!

    The hostess was a very personable person - just the sort of greeter you like to meet when entering a restaurant. The drinks were good and the service was adequate albeit a bit slow. Nothing moves too quickly here. The tri tip dip sandwich was very good as was the shrimp topped salad. The beet salad was too spicey but the waiter removed the charge - nice touch. The broccoli soup was not a “soup” but rather a mixture of veggies- not recommended!

    Food was outstanding as was the smoked old fashioned! The service was excellent as Maddy (sp) made sure that we were taken care of. 😊

    Main course came out cold less than 80 secs after ordering. Couldn’t enjoy our cocktail and appetizer that had just come out before ordering main course. Not possible to make it fresh that quick. Old plates sitting on line.

    The reservation was at 7:00 on a Friday so I didn’t expect for it to be a little bit more crowded but all the tables were spaced nicely. I did appreciate the hostess not sitting our table in the back area with a large party. Very sweet! The food was good!

    If I could give a the service 10 stars, I would. Our waitress, Amanda, was amazing!! She was attentive, gave good recommendations, and very friendly. It’s sometime hard to find good service but Amanda really went above and beyond to make sure we had an excellent experience and a great dinner. We will definitely ask for her the next time we eat at whiskey cake.
