Prezzo sopra la media per servizio, misero per un ristorante a New York, e personale, spocchioso, stucchevole e solo alla ricerca della mancia, estorta senza merito!!

The food and service is outstanding, however, they did not honor my reservation and we ( 3 women) had to sit near the front door with the blustery wind coming in the door every few minutes. It is the Holiday season but they never should have accepted my booking online the day of. Many other patrons experienced the same thing ! The place was clearly overbooked! I have been going there and enjoying it for many years but last night was a madhouse. Thank God for the delicious food and drinks and exceptional service by the bartender IZZY who served us and made it as pleasant as as possible! I will still return but not during the holiday season. Learned a lesson! Merry Christmas !

We have been there before I knew what to expect. The waiters need more training. The initial table was dark and we moved. There was only one other table in the restaurant whien we got there pre-theater. The food was the usual and excellent. There needed to be more choices on the menu.

Wolfgang’s is a small steakhouse chain. I’ve visited the outpost in Somerville, NJ numerous times and the service at that location is consistently good. The service last night at this location was below par. We had multiple waiters attending our table of four. Water was poured once. We were asked about ordering multiple times and then once we ordered, food was served quickly, and then little attention was paid to us beyond that. The quality of the food was good though I thought our medium rare porterhouse was undercooked. My table mate ordered the special, Dover sole, which she enjoyed but the portion was very small for $70. We also ordered the wedge, fried calamari, which was also a special, and then sautéed spinach and fried onion rings as sides. The onion rings were not hot and lacked flavor. Overall, I’d give it 3.5 stars. For the price and based on my prior experience, I expected better. Still a decent steak, but there are other nearby steakhouses where I’ve enjoyed better meals overall.

This place was so outrageous. My wife ordered the tomato and onion salad. What arrived was a slab of onion and tomato. No dressing. That was $7.95 extra. They added no value to that dish. My wife was so stunned at the presentation the waiter had to say “that’s how we serve it.” My wedge salad, no dressing. A bare half head of lettuce and some fried fat chunks, again no value. It was just half of a head of lettuce. I had to chop it myself. I had the French onion soup, passable. My wife the tuna tartar. The only attractive dish they did anything to prepare. Bill $142 with tip. Embarrassing. Will of course never go back. I wonder how management would feel on the receiving end of such nonsense?

My nephew ordered his steak done medium and it came out well done. The restaurant was empty at 7:30 on a Friday night. Service was just ok. There are much better steak houses in NYC. A big disappointment!
