Yoshi's has served Japan's best traditional dishes to Bay Area patrons since 1972. The menu highlights artfully arranged sushi, fresh grilled seafood, classic Japanese dishes, and vegetarian fare. Patrons can kick off their shoes in the traditional Japanese tatami seating or dine at tables. Expert sushi chefs create sushi and sashimi to order either in the restaurant or in the jazz house. Start the evening in the cocktail lounge before dinner or have a nightcap after taking in a show in the jazz house.

    Thank you for celebrating the New Year with us! Our chefs Victor Reyes and Lolo Gonzalez have created an elaborate and delicious 5-course prix fixe menu.     Everything we ordered was delicious. We are vegetarians and there were plenty of various vegetarian items on the menu. Our servers were super friendly and attentive. Our dinners arrived quickly which gave us enough time to enjoy our meal before going to the incredible Arturo Sandoval concert. It was a perfect evening. Thank you!!

    The evening was enjoyable up until the time we we were seated in section 65. My nephew, who was my guest, and I had just been seated when 2 white women were being shown the 2 seats next to ours. One of them immediately said "no!" and they immediately walked away to locate the usher. A few minutes later, a white male took the seat next to mine. It was obvio us that he had switched seats with the women. I asked the usher if we had asked to change seats would we have been accommodated and he did not reply. I will not be returning to Yoshis in the future due to this racist experience. I had an enjoyable evening until this incident.

    There to see the show, RSVPed, had special seating requests for 100 year old and 2 year old, mainly just needed a little space so the 2 year old didn’t grab things the whole meal. Not any effort really made to be family friendly. We were in a corner up against a wall that actually decided the table which made the meal very messy and hard. Not everyone uses babysitters. Arturo Sandoval was awesome though.

    We had very good tempura and sushi, with tasty salads. Lively atmosphere for a pre jazz dinner. Seats uncomfortable, wooden back didn't suit someone like me with spinal arthritis

    Great place to dine, particularly if you are seeing a show at Yoshis. Lots of different menu choices, fresh and well prepared. The service was excellent. Highly recommended.

    My party had a Wow customer service experience. From the host to waiters to servers , the service was awesome. They kept the water and drinks coming. The appetizers and food came out quickly and temperature was hot and delicious! I would highly recommend the restaurant. The show was ambiance was great and entertainment was great! The service for drinks and food was slower than restaurant side. I would highly recommend this venue for entertainment.
