For the past 20 years, Zin has been a popular spot for locals in the downtown area. We offer crafted cocktails, brunch, and dinner. We are proud to have received the Wine Spectator Award of Excellence for our extensive wine list which boasts over 545 selections. The maitre d' warmly welcomes guests with a radiant smile, setting the tone for impeccable service. The chef truly shines, crafting dishes that are an absolute delight.     We ordered the buttermilk chicken dinner and the short ribs dinner. Everything was cold. Not hot, no heated plate to keep it warm. Ribs were dry, not sauce, not freshly made, chicken was over breasted and tasteless, creamed spinach was very cold and didn’t taste right. Mashed potatoes had good flavor but were not warm enough to eat. Not a busy Monday night either. They need to invest in heated plates and bring the food out piping hot. I hate so see this. I’ve loved zin for years.

    Our food and service at Zin American Bistro was very good, as always. A great spot to stop for dinner after a cocktail at one of the local bars.

    Mindy, the owner, put together a marvelous, Thanksgiving day special menu that was generous and delicious! The ambience in the dining room was beautiful. Chip, our waiter, also did a tremendous job! He was Johnny on the spot, fun, and very professional! Overall, we had a wonderful evening! If you’re ever considering a special occasion or holiday, or any other day, Zin American Bistro is highly recommended!

    Six of us chose Zin for dinner before going to the night market. My husband and I shared the mussels with a coconut and lemongrass sauce. When it came, we sent it back thinking they had given us the wine white and leek sauce. The waitress quickly returned saying the kitchen confirmed it was the right sauce. It didn’t taste at all like it had coconut in it and it had an overpowering taste I didn’t like. And I found the mussels to be very difficult to get out of the shells. We then spilt the short rib pappardelle for our main. The pasta was over cooked and the sauce was not really to my taste either. I had had a very good lunch at Zin a couple of days previously, so I came back with friends, but I was disappointed. I could recommend it for lunch but not dinner.
