However, The ribeye was not the highest quality meat and over cooked. We tried twice at the ribeye and returned it both times. The waiter was not that engaging but the staff was fantastic!

                                                                                                                                                    I have eaten many meals at Zuni over decades and the quality has been amazingly consistent over that time. It’s often just what I want to eat. I had a baguette steak that reminded me of France in the 1970s. The prices have definitely increased. It’s not out of line with similar places, but it used to seem cheaper than other places of equivalent quality. No longer. It’s every bit as expensive as other fine dining places if more relaxed than some.

                                                                                                                                                    We loved the chicken, but the “vegetables” was nothing more than the appetizer we’d ordered earlier. The anchovies appetizer didn’t have much creativity to it. The biscotti were really bad and the cake over sauces. For a veg restaurant that charged what they do, the quality should be better.

On reservation I asked for a good table for a first date and proceeded to have the best date of my life. Impeccable low key service, delicious food, perfect wine recommendations. Love you, Zuni!
