Bobby Van’s Grill has a very loyal following of patrons who appreciate its first-rate, dry-aged steaks and seafood, phenomenal wine list, and exceptional professional wait staff – many of whom have worked for Bobby Van’s Grill for more than 15 years.

We have the largest private dining space of any restaurant in DC; Bobby Van’s Grill can accommodate guests in 7 different rooms! In the fall of 2018, it unveiled a newly renovated atrium (now known as The Atrium @ Bobby Van’s) that accommodates up to 330 people for private events.

Overall meh. We had early reservation for 3. The restaurant was not crowded but unfortunately our waiter was over busy with other tables so we did not get the expected level of service- example I needed to grab/interrupt another waiter walking by to order a drink. Dinner was delivered to table with one order missing entirely and one steak delivered well under temp (ordered med delivered rare). 3rd plate came out 10 mins later and refried steak after that. We ordered dessert for the table and to make up for the poor experience they brought out an extra dessert we did not order. Wish I could redo the night at a different location. The bread was very good.

We were seated and then literally ignored. I brought my team here for our holiday lunch and wanted them to have a good experience. I finally got up and found the manager advising that we had been seated for a while and no one acknowledged us, brought menus or water. The manager was excellent, he assisted us more than our own server. I would love to come back but I am afraid if it is truly busy I may never get served. The food was good not the best I have ever had but the location is great.

Our server, Rudy, was exceptional!!!! If you can sit in his section, do it. He was on top of everything. For a party of 11, he asked all the right questions and cared for us. It was a mid-day holiday office lunch, and he made sure we were out of there to make it in time for other meetings while not losing the quality of service you expect from Bobby Van's. Thank you, Rudy and team, for an unbelievable experience. It has been a while since folks in our group went to Bobby Van's, and we will be back. Happy Holidays!

I have enjoyed a stop at Bobby Van’s steakhouse whenever I’m in DC. This was my first time at the Grill, and unfortunately the experience was in the range of mediocre. We had two surf-and-turfs and two filets. The two lobsters were about the size of large crawdads. The steaks tasted sawdust-dry, which was a huge surprise given my previous experiences at the steakhouse. The sides were great, as were the salads. We ordered a $200 bottle of wine, and the maitre’d poured four perfect small portions into our glasses. When he left, the waiter came and dumped the rest of the bottle into the four glasses, and took the empty bottle away. The noise level is much louder at the grill than at the steakhouse, which I suppose is due to its proximity to the convention center and catering to that crowd. Overall it wasn’t terrible. But it wasn’t fantastic, especially for the price. I won’t go back to the grill, but I will give the steakhouse another shot when I’m next in DC.

I had dinner with my wife and two daughters tonight. The food was amazing. The appetizers came out quickly and they were delicious. We had the Tuna Tartare and Lamb Chops. For our dinner, we had Filet Mignon, Pan Seared Sea Scallops, and Pan Seared Chillean Seabass. The entrees were fabulous as were the sides, BVG Hashbrowns and Sautéed Spinach. For desert, we had Creme Brûlée and Lemon Crunch Cake. Our server was Victor. We all agree that Victor is, by far, the best server ever. He explained all the dishes and was very attentive throughout our meal. He was also very friendly and made us feel at home. We will eat here again when we return to DC and we will request Victor. Amazing dining experience.

VERY GOOD FOOD AND AMAZING SERVICE WITH OUT BEING PRETENTIOUS. We were a large group of 8 and enjoy every appetizer and main course. Congratulation to Victor and his great service. Made us feel at home. Will go back for sure.

My recent lunch experience was fantastic. The menu featured a diverse range of dishes, each promising a delightful taste of different cuisines. Our waiter was very knowledgeable, friendly and accommodating.
