Bobby Van’s Grill has a very loyal following of patrons who appreciate its first-rate, dry-aged steaks and seafood, phenomenal wine list, and exceptional professional wait staff – many of whom have worked for Bobby Van’s Grill for more than 15 years.

We have the largest private dining space of any restaurant in DC; Bobby Van’s Grill can accommodate guests in 7 different rooms! In the fall of 2018, it unveiled a newly renovated atrium (now known as The Atrium @ Bobby Van’s) that accommodates up to 330 people for private events.

                                                                                      I'm not sure if it was an off day, as I've only been here once, but we waited past our reservation time by almost 30 minutes. And throughout the night, they seemed to have been the same for other customers. The waiter didn't stop by our table many times other than to take out order. The steak my wife ordered medium well came out medium rare. The tables next to us complained about something off about their salad. My filet came out the correct cooked temperature but was not hot. And we also waited quite a while for the food to come out. We'll over 45 min. But the food did taste good, the sides were fanatics and so were the appetizers. All in all, I'll chock up to a bad night bc they might have been under stuffed

                                                                                      Fine Dining at Bobby Van’s Grill in DC was PRICELESS and EPIC. The food and drinks were AMAZING and our severs Jesse and Carlos are the BEST the Bobby Van’s has hired. Make sure you ask for them both highly recommended!

                                                                                      This is my first time going with both of my friends. We had heard good reviews about this restaurant and sure enough we decided to try it for Valentine’s Day. Originally our table was reserved for 9:30 with a 15 Minute grace period. We got there at 9:56. When we showed up the host said we would have to wait which is understandable, however we didn’t know it would be an hour later. 10:35 I got a call the table was ready, the sat us downstairs. Very cold, no ambiance downstairs just 3, while got sat upstairs with the rest. The server was AMAZING. We ordered our food, (filet mignon with mash potatoes) they had ran out of mash potatoes, oh also the filet mignon was suppose to be medium well. When we all got it one was basically almost rare while the two hours were BURNT. This isn’t even the good part, while still not complaining, i was cutting into my filet mignon just to find a small blue rubber band, i lost but still very respectfully. The server was very nice and said the manager had said the bill was on them (which we didn’t expect we only expected to have the one order taken off) we thank them for that, the owner (host) came downstairs to apologize which was very nice. The experience was not there, sadly. We left unsatisfied and still hungry , we left to go get tacos :)

                                                                                      Food was good the Valentine’s Day menu was limited so I would like to try something else. Drink were strong so if you get 2 or 3 make sure you have an uber. Victor our waiter was perfect, he made sure we got exactly what we wanted and gave great drink suggestions. I’ll definitely be back and ask to be in his section

                                                                                      The food was okay for the price (a pre-fixed menu for Valentine’s Day). However, although the server was great, the amount of time waiting to be served was way too long. Our server had to be pulled from the bar to help support the staff. You would think that on a big day for dining out, a restaurant of this quality would be able to handle the demand. Needless to say..they failed miserably.

                                                                                      I’ve been to Bobby Van’s on several occasions and this time around was extremely disappointing. They sat us downstairs and the waiters and the kitchens seemed to have forgot we were customers. We were sat at 7:21pm and our food didn’t come out until around 9:15pm and it was very cold. They attempted to work with us but had a very bad attitude about it and the excuse was “there was a large party in front of us”, not a great excuse. They cooked all of our food over again and the second time around it looked the way the first plate should have. By the time the second plate came out it was 9:45pm… TERRIBLE! If you ever to Bobby Van’s on New York Ave, make sure they sit you upstairs in the main dining room.

Worst Valentine’s Day experience I could ever ask for. 400 dollars for cold steaks, gross salad, horrible drinks. Couldn’t even make a cosmo for my girlfriend. Silverware was dirty when we got there. Servers could barely speak English. This place is false advertisement to the tee. Do not go here.

I had the turkey club on multi-grain bread, while my colleague had the tomato bisque with filet mignon and creamed spinach entree. The preparation, quality, and taste of all food choices was exceptional. Bobby Van's Grill has become my go-to choice for local DC business lunches and office gatherings.
